Event Description

The Cambridge MAKEit FRUIT & VEG is a unique hybrid MAKEathon comprising a series of live online events
and remote prototyping in Cambridge. The participants will work online in teams to create new business
ideas that could help the fruit & vegetable supply chains become more prepared for future disruptions such
as pandemics and climate change. The ideas will be converted into physical prototypes with the support
from Makespace Cambridge.
We would like to offer you the opportunity of taking part in this specially designed MAKEathon by the
University of Cambridge in association with EIT Food.

21-22nd July 2020, 10:00-17:00 Hours (BST)
27th July 2020, 10:00-12:00 Hours (BST)
Online platforms: Zoom, Slack and Miro

We are looking for innovative individuals aged 18+ with creative minds and practical ideas. You DO NOT
need to be a professional in fruit & vegetable supply chains. Bring your expertise, passion and team spirit to
work intensively in a team, and most importantly, be ready to take on the challenge. We are committed to
diversity, and members of under-represented groups are particularly encouraged to apply.

We will provide you with expert webinars, online team ideation platforms, mentoring, home prototyping
materials and a remote prototyping service, and fun!
