CCI Partnership

CCF is a founding partner of the Cambridge Conservation Initiative

This unique partnership between the University of Cambridge and nine internationally focused conservation organisations is based at the Conservation Campus in the David Attenborough Building on the New Museums Site, Pembroke Street, Cambridge. Here, leaders in academia, business, government and non-governmental organisations can interact and work together.

All the CCI partners are also members of CCF, with the University of Cambridge Conservation Research Institute being represented by its constituent departments.

Staff of CCF member organisations may use the David Attenborough Building facilities as detailed below. All members (individuals and staff of member organisations) are welcome to attend many of the seminars held in the building; these will be advertised on our events page. Please see the Building User Guide for more information.

CCF member organisations may apply to the CCI collaborative fund, which supports innovative, collaborative projects undertaken by CCI partners with the University of Cambridge.

Use of the David Attenborough Building

Common room

Staff of CCF member organisations may use the tea and coffee facilities in the common room, but they should not be used to entertain large groups. They can also use the space to work or hold small, informal meetings.

Meeting rooms

Staff of CCF member organisations may book one of the small meeting rooms, for up to two hours. This can be done via CCI reception or by contacting the public engagement coordinator. See the Contact page for details.

You may also book a large meeting room for the purposes of collaboration with other CCI partner organisation(s) and for evening meetings and events. This must be done via CCI reception and there will be a charge for reception services for out-of-hours meetings.

Leventis Library

Staff of CCF and its member organisations have reference-only access to the library collections. You can search the collections online here. The training programme provided by the Library is also open to staff of CCF and its member organisations. Priority is given to CCI partner staff based at the CCI Campus, but where space is available, workshops will be advertised via the CCF events page and newsletter one to two weeks beforehand.

Hot desk

There is a desk in the library reserved for CCF members who can book it for half a day at a time. To book, please use this link to the booking calendar. There are also non-bookable work spaces available in the atrium on the third floor and in the common room. An updated Covid guidance document can be found here.
