Support Assistant role for Senior Lecturer in Ecology and Conservation ,Anglia Ruskin University )ARU) Cambridge Campus

Start date: September 2021

Salary £11.62 per hour (+ holiday pay) week.

Hours: Part time; Up to 22 hours per week.

Start date: September 2021.

Job description: This role involves providing practical and administrative assistance for Dr Olivia Norfolk, who is registered blind. Duties include providing guidance around ARU Campus and assisting with teaching and research related administrative tasks.

The candidate must have excellent computer literacy skills and be able to readily adapt to a wide-range of University websites and systems. They must also have the confidence and willingness to learn how to act as a sighted guide to help Dr Norfolk navigate around Campus. A background or interest in ecology or conservation is desirable.

As well as assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks, this role provides an unique opportunity to engage with ARUs Applied Ecology Research Group, to attend research seminars and events and to facilitate the running of Undergraduate and Masters level modules (including Sustainable Land Management and Landscapes, Diversity and Distributions).
