Event Description

Chaired by Synchronicity Earth founders Jessica and Adam Sweidan, this first webinar in our Deeper Thinking, 2020 Series will look at the interconnections between human health and the environment and explore solutions that can take us towards a more balanced and harmonious relationship with the natural world.

Will COVID-19 lead to a rethink of our relationship with nature? Will it bring greater awareness of how deeply our own health is intertwined with the health of the natural world? Or understanding that biodiversity and habitat loss and unsustainable wildlife trade are making us ever more vulnerable to pandemics? We’ve invited two great speakers to share their knowledge and insights with us:

Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak is the Managing Director of the Mohamed Bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund and Managing Director of the Environment Agency, Abu Dhabi. She is also currently running for presidency of the International Union for Conservation of Nature, 2021 – 2024.

Steven Broad is Executive Director of TRAFFIC, a leading non-governmental organisation working globally on trade in wild animals and plants in the context of both biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.
