We are looking for someone support the development of data-driven systems that deliver on a number of BirdLife’s strategic priorities. Based within the IT team you will work closely with various Science teams and within the BirdLife partnership. You will project manage the full lifecycle of BirdLife’s data driven hosted solutions.

Role Description

BirdLife International is the world’s largest nature conservation partnership. Through our unique local-to-global approach, we deliver high impact and long-term conservation for the benefit of nature and people.

We are looking for someone support the development of data-driven systems that deliver on a number of BirdLife’s strategic priorities.

Based within the IT team you will work closely with various Science teams and within the BirdLife partnership. You will project manage the full lifecycle of BirdLife’s data driven hosted solutions. Define operational procedures and create required associated documentation. You will support the Science and Information Technology (IT) teams in developing the hosted data service strategy. You will develop and maintain positive relationships with external technical contractors and implement a human centred approach.

The ideal candidate will have

  • An Industry recognised Project Management or demonstratable experience: Prince 2, APM, PMP, Agile, Scrum
  • Technical background and clear understanding of DevOps practices and processes
  • Background in Software Development or Software Consultancy.
  • Experience with project management tools such as JIRA.
  • Business Analysis Experience
  • Fundamental understanding of full-service life cycle- analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and improvement.
  • Theoretical and practical project management knowledge.
