We are looking for someone to work as part of the Secretariat team in Asia (Singapore) and liaise with the BirdLife fundraising team globally and secure a minimum 500,000 USD annually, for Asia conservation priorities, with an initial focus on priorities associated with Asian Development Bank Regional Flyways Initiative (RFI).

We are looking for someone to work as part of the Secretariat team in Asia (Singapore) and liaise with the BirdLife fundraising team globally and secure a minimum 500,000 USD annually, for Asia conservation priorities, with an initial focus on priorities associated with Asian Development Bank Regional Flyways Initiative (RFI).

This person will specifically support resourcing for:

 

  • Threatened species conservation;
  • The protection of priority conservation areas including Important Bird Areas and Key   Biodiversity Areas;
  • Climate change mitigation and adaptation (Nature Based Solutions);
  • Sustainable Agriculture, aqua-culture and nature-based tourism;
  • The securing of local livelihoods;
  • Building national and regional capacity for nature conservation in Asia;

The ideal candidate will have

  • Significant experience as a successful fundraiser
  • Technical fundraising expertise including problem analyses, logical frameworks and budgeting.
  • Demonstrable ability to develop relationships with Corporate partners and Trusts
  • Experience of researching institutional funding opportunities
  • Good understanding of conservation, development and political interests in Pacific countries and territories and ability to articulate needs to donors in ‘selling’ BirdLife interests.
