Half term events at Kingfishers Bridge

2nd February 2022

For February half term we are offering lots of opportunities for children to engage with nature. The events will run over two weeks, to cover both Cambridgeshire and Suffolk half terms. There will need to be at least one adult per family group.
Owl Pellet Dissection, Wednesday 16th and 23rd February. 10am or 11.30am
When dissecting owl pellets they can discover what our barn owls are finding to eat, using identification charts to sort bones. This will take place in the Reserve’s classroom down on the Cam Washes which is a 10 minute walk from the Visitor Centre.
Build a bat box, Thursday 17th and 24th February. 10am or 11.30am
Building a bat box to hang in your garden will help develop an interest in the natural world closer to home. This will take place in the Reserve’s classroom down on the Cam Washes which is a 10 minute walk from the Visitor Centre.
Nature Trail, Friday 18th or 25th February. 10am or 11.30am
Finally, the children can follow a trail through Home Wood, using compasses to lead them to the answers to nature and wildlife questions. The nature trail is an outside event, so please come appropriately dressed.
Tickets can be pre-booked through our online ticket shop; see the individual event listings for more details.
