December 12 , 2007 - Climate change in the Fens - consultation report

In March 2007 the Church of England and the Environment Agency jointly convened a consultation of local people. After explaining likely impacts of climate change on flooding and water shortage, the delegates were asked for their views through a series of exercises. There were some surprising results eg a high level of acceptance for water meters. Nature conservation scored relatively highly. This type of consultation was welcomed by delegates and agencies. The full report is available as a Word document.
