Amphibian and Reptile Conservation

Amphibian and Reptile Conservation is a national wildlife charity concerned with the protection and enhancement of  amphibians and reptiles, formed in 2009 from the merger of Froglife and the Herpetological Conservation Trust. Amphibian and Reptile Conservation works to support and promote conservation through the management of nature reserves, coordination of species action plans and influencing policy and legislation at local, national and European levels.  We provide information, education and training to a wide range of people, from those working in the field to people wanting to know more about the wildlife in their area. We engage a wide range of people, agencies and organisations; developing key skills, knowledge and interest as a means toward an end to the current declines in many of our native amphibians and reptiles. Through our founding organisations, both of which were established in 1989, we have developed a wide range of skills and experience and Amphibian and Reptile Conservation we will continue to build on our history of groundbreaking projects and campaigns to bring amphibian and reptile conservation to the forefront of current environmental issues.
