Cambridge Natural History Society
Affiliated to Town and Gown, the Society is open to all persons interested in Natural History – the study of animals, plants, insects, fungi, habitats, rocks, soils, climate, conservation and allied subjects. Meetings from October to March are mostly in the form of illustrated talks, each with opportunity for discussion. Outside activities predominate in the Summer Programme. In June there is the Grand Public Exhibition – the traditional Annual ‘Conversazione’ – where exhibits on all aspects of Natural History, provided by organisations, societies, schools and individuals, are displayed in the Cambridge University Department of Zoology.
